Competition: Name This Herbal Medicine
Can you name this herbal medicine?
This is one of my most well loved herbs. It is used for so many different conditions. It would have to be one of the medicines I go to most times I’m mixing up some liquid herbs for a client. Most of them would have tried it in their formula at some point.
It is known as an adaptogen, adrenal restorative, it is anti-inflammatory and can regulate your blood sugar. It is great for problematic digestions, colds & flu, cardiovascular health and assists in hormone regulation.
It is a herb that has been used for thousands of years across many different cultures, both in the kitchen and in pharmacy.

What is Herbal Medicine?
For thousands of years plants have been used as medicine across all corners of the globe. From the Ancient Greeks, Ayurveda in Indian, Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Eclectic physicians from the United States in the 18th Century. Herbs were the first medicines, and they continue to be used widely today.
Today herbs are studied for their active constituents – the tiny parts of them that give the plant their medicinal qualities. In each herb alone there are thousands of chemicals that promote healing in many different ways.
As a practitioner of Western Herbal Medicine I use herbs in liquid, tablet, powders and teas to help my clients achieve optimum health and wellness. If you haven’t tired herbal medicine before please get in touch and book a naturopathic consultation in Marrickville today – they are so wonderful!
